As a belated birthday gift, my aunt took me, mom, and my bf to Universal !! Mainly went for the harry potter stuff, and stayed most of the day for everything else. I got an Elder-wood wand and a Decepticon thermos--pricy, but worth it.

We spent. All day. At the parks. There's not enough places to chill out and just rest, I tell ya. They need more benches, and/or more shaded spots with lots of seating. Somewhere with fans or heaters, depending on the season-

But, it was fun as all get out, if not tiring. I'm still recovering, so I'll most likely be more active within a few more days. Not much else to say, honestly lol

Mm, one other thing to note, I guess! I will be moving to cat-crow at some point, soon, sometime within the next three weeks--hopefully, pft-

quick to long, don't wanna read: You guys think I should get a fresh start and move to my backup account, cat-crow? Seriously, I'd like to know what you guys think on this! It'd be a pretty big change, so I definitely want some second or third opinions!

Now, onto my ramblings and overall talking-

I've been silently debating if I should move accounts for a while now, kind of as a "fresh start" sort of thing. Aretimes wouldn't be deactivated, as A. I have too much stuff here LOL B. It's my first account, so it holds some benefits as a tracker and extra storage. Plus I could never fully let go of this account--too many memories <3

But, back onto the subject. I always kinda wanted to have a "just in case" backup account. (As ya'll can kinda see on my front page, I broke down and made one, finally- The move wouldn't be that sudden, as I still have a whole month worth of Core left, so, I'd have to wait until that runs out.)

Might be a "grass is greener" kinda thing, but... like I said, I've been kinda thinking about re-branding/moving/etc. for a while now. This gallery just feels... cluttered, but I'd feel wrong, if I completely emptied it, ya'know? A new account would make organizing things a lot easier.

If/when I did/do move, I wouldn't drop this account entirely. I'd probably switch back to check up on stuff, but, this account would basically be for storage--mainly of my older work. "Aretimes" is a cool name, yeah, but... I'm not sure. I've felt a little out of touch with it lately. It's kinda. Just a "thing," not really a name anymore, to me.

Does that sound weird?? Probably sounds weird-

Gonna be gone for most of 23d, and then I'll officially be gone for the 24th through the 26th! Why, you may ask?

Me, mom, my bf, and my aunt... are going to Universal :'DDD Bit of a late birthday thing for me, as I've kinda always wanted to go--if only for the Harry Potter section sssHhhh I need me some Slytherin merch---so, that's what I'll be doing for those three days! 23d, I'm just spending the day with some friends.

sO this is a bit out of the blue, but, I've been dying to find (or maybe even make) a roleplay group with a somewhat DnD style system (Like 5e, which is apparently more classic style, where you're rewarded for actually roleplaying and thinking outside the box). The old group I was in, RoadToFolkvangr, is a fantastic exsample of what I'm looking for. But, it closed, and the sister group is dead/on indefinite hiatus. I can't seem to find any non-warrior cats groups that I'd be eager to join, or that are active. (If you happen to know of any, namely something fantasy based, let me know!)

Now, I would be tempted to go and make my own sort of roleplay group, but, the main problem is... I'm not good with really big groups, or managing them LOL I might try, never the less, but, I'm better at creating lore, settings, overall world building. I'd need someone to manage the group itself, as I'm introverted as heck, and not that great with new-new people-

(that or I could try and get some rl friends together to maybe form a small dnd group, but I'd most likely get stuck as the DM--not that I'd complain, but I'd also want a chance at playing. That is if I can talk said friends into it-)

Idk, I just. I guess I just miss RtF, and I can't find any other active/open groups even remotely like it. I might actually try and make something myself, but, like I said, I'd really need to find someone willing to run the more technical side of things.

on a DnD related note, I would Kill A Man to get my hands on these fantastic looking dice, plus maybe these really friggin' pretty hand-drawn character sheets.

... Delving into that group idea though-

DnD/Pathfinder/whateverelse, is basically chance based. Roll the dice, see what you get. High numbers mean better success, but low numbers will land you in trouble. However, it's fun to screw up, so you can possibly sink deeper, or pull yourself out through some truly whacky means. (Just look up some DnD stories on tumblr--you won't be disappointed!) It's also character based, so on top of it all, you'll be getting in and out of trouble as your character.

In this group, art would a secondary thing. It'd mainly be text based, writing, story telling. A picture can tell a thousand words, as the saying goes, but what if you need more then just a thousand? I realize not everyone is great at art, or even confident that they are! Images get across the message fast, but, they can only tell one story. You can only read it to an extent. Not saying drawing is worse or better then writing--they're two different forms of art! Together, they're a powerful force, for sure.

It'd probably be set in a fantasy world, but, something with some twists. Something new and refreshing--not just ye olde Elves, Dwarves, Humans, and The BeastRace(s)™. Yes, maybe it'd have those, but, the stereotypes would be turned upside down.
Elves are traditionally very woodsy, mostly archers and rogues, and magical, right? Put 'em a city. Make them mostly aristocrats. Let them be ignorant to most magic, or it'd be rare and possibly scandalous to be born with/learn magic. These elves couldn't find an arrow if they sat on one, and the woods are something they use to frighten children. "Don't go in there--monsters will eat you!" Animals are for fine dining, so long as the meat's been cooked by someone else.
That's just an exsample of what could be done, but, the possibilities! Endless choices, really.

I always like the idea of a basic set of magic, like some kind of element, but the spells themselves are created by the players. Yes, there'd be a list of basics, but, if someone creates a new spell--let's say a mage discovers how to use water magic to create solid weapons. That's not in the basic spells, that's for sure! It could be a one-time spell, that was simply needed for that moment, or, it could be turned into a public spell. It'd need to be approved for use by a mod, to make sure it's not too powerful, and then it would be assigned stats, a name, etc, then added to a "Player made spells" section or. Something.

Can't stop thinking about a guild that's set up by a beach, and it's made out of sandstone. It's got a bulletin board for monster hunting, wanted criminals, and Quests of all sorts, waiting to be finished.
As a side note, a couple ideas for some quest-types just came to mind.

• Monster Hunting / Wanted Person. In which you hunt down either a creature or a criminal, fight them, and depending on the requirements, bring them back alive, or slay them. You could try and strike out on your own, but the chances of you succeeding would be really slim, depending on the difficulty. If you get a party together, (at least two or three people) your chances of success increase, and you both get rewarded. Some quests could be done multiple times, others would be a single use.
  
• Fetch Quests. Where you go out and hunt for an object, missing person, etc. Fetching food or a simple item would be Easy, finding a missing person would be Normal, and finding a treasure in a dungeon would be Hard. Or, something like that. Same thing as above, about teaming up.
